I don't mean to brag either, but...

How many 4 and 5 year olds do you know that know what chlorophyll, xanthrophyll and carotene are? And they also know why leaves change colors in the fall and the difference between deciduous and evergreen trees! They can successfully tell you what color each of these things are, and what job chlorophyll has. They know why some leaves look red or purple instead of the yellow and orange. I am so proud right now! I didn't think they'd understand as much as they did today. WOW!!! Way to go Bug and Bear!

Yay!

Today Mom and I went over to David's Bridal, and I finally found a dress! I had my heart set on a dress from Frenze but when I tried to get the dress, I was told that they didn't have my size and that it would be almost impossible to get a dress on time. At David's, I tried on 3 dresses and the second one I tried is the one I chose. And the bonus.... They fit me into a dress 3 sizes smaller than I thought I needed. That's enough to make anyone feel good.

Another tooth.... GONE!

Bug lost her 3rd baby tooth yesterday! She was so excited to get it out and the tooth fairy left her $1.00! Wow I can't believe she's only 5 and a half and she's already lost 3 teeth and gotten 2 adult teeth!

What Next?

I've been working my butt off trying to get this house looking nice... We've been trying to get thing put away so we could have a little house warming party. First, the molding came off the bottom of the fireplace. An easy fix but still annoying. Then our gas stove decided it didn't want to light anymore so we'll have to call someone to come fix that. I was so excited that the kids would have their own bathroom. It's also our main bathroom for when we have company. We bought them their own bathroom set, which includes a shower curtain, step stool, rug, toothbrush holder, soap dish and wall stickers. The bathroom was sooo cute! Well yesterday I walked into the bathroom and pretty much got a shower! I looked up and there was a 2 foot long line of water coming out of the ceiling!!! Our swamp cooler wasn't sitting level on our roof, so it's been leaking water. We didn't realize it was leaking into the house too. So when Jeff got home, we went up and explored the attic and got the water cleaned up. Dad and Jeff got up on the roof and did some repairs to the AC. But unfortunately, the drywall is ruined and now there's a big hole in the ceiling. So we're going to have to replace the drywall and repaint the bathroom... Please tell me our dream home isn't going to continue to be a nightmare!!!

Silly Kittens

Lately, our cats have been acting stranger than usual. Kisca, our oldest, has been running around hunting flies. She sits at the bottom of the wall and makes alot of funny noises. Eventually she'll figure out that the noises wont make the fly come down.

And Ash, our youngest, seems to think she's a parrot. She's lucky that right now she can still fit. In a few more months, she'll be too big and her days of riding on our shoulders will be over.

Getting No where.. FAST!

Things haven't settled down from the move yet. We've lived here since July 20th and there are still boxes of stuff everywhere. It seems that we have no where to put things. Everyday we work on putting things away, but it still looks like NOTHING has been put anywhere... UGH

Also, since the wedding is coming up really soon, we've been trying to get back into the wedding mode. Now that we've moved, I can order the things we still need. And last night we went out and did a wedding registry at Bed Bath & Beyond, and we're also planning on registering at Target, but it took longer than expected last night so we'll have to do that another night.

I just feel like no matter how much we do to the house or for the wedding, that nothing is getting done. WOW. I guess I just needed to vent a little. Thanks for listening, I feel better already.
