Happy Fall!

While driving through Emigration and East Canyon on Monday, I noticed that the leaves are starting to change. It was a little chilly up there. I took a couple pictures, and will post them as soon as I get them resized. For the last week or so, it's been too cold at night to sleep with the AC on, and when we get up in the morning, it's just as cold in the house as if we had left the AC on. When I let Mischa outside this morning, I noticed that the leaves on my Autumn Blaze Maple are turning red. Hooray for Fall! Yesterday was the equinox, as well as my Anniversary! I think this weekend we may start getting our Halloween decorations out. And now it's time to start planning the Halloween party.

Anniversary surprise

Monday morning, Jeff got up around his usual time for work. He kissed me goodbye and walked out of the room. About an hour later, he opened the bedroom door and brought me coffee and breakfast in bed. I was pretty shocked to see him. He had surprised me by taking Monday and Tuesday off of work for our anniversary. We had taken the kids to the zoo on Sunday, and we all went fishing on Monday at East Canyon. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything, and the kids were a little bored, so Jeff and I decided to go out again on our own Tuesday to try our luck again.

We went out early and tried our luck at Bountiful Lake. We sat there pretty much all day with no luck what so ever. We tried all our gear, and all our bait. Still nothing. We took a small break mid day and bought some new lures. Then it was back to the lake we went. Finally, before we were getting ready to leave, we started to get a couple bites. I ended up catching 3 fish. All little, so I released them. Jeff unfortunately didn't get anything. We had fun anyway and both came home severely sunburned. And YES, we did use sunblock. *shrugs* Ohwell. Still fun!
