Memorial Weekend

We enjoyed a nice chilly weekend at the cabin with Mom, Dad, Mike, Staci and Amanda. The weather wasn't the best, but it was still nice. We did leave early on Monday though as a couple storms moved through. The drive home was a bit on the scary side as we hit a snow/rain/sleet storm in Daniels and couldn't see very well. But we arrived in one piece. The kids had fun and both Bear and Grandma Sharon caught their first lizard! Yay!

Happy Birthday to my boys!

Today is Bear and Jeff's birthday! My little man is officially 5 years old! For their birthday, we went out to breakfast and then off to the theater to see Iron Man. Gavie loved it. Then when we got home, I made a cake for them and Papa and Grandma came over to visit. Bear got a few more gifts. He got 2 Tony Hawk t-shirts, a pirates clock, and a Spider Riders movie from us, and a Black & Decker Jr. Power Tool Workshop from Papa and Grandma. Jeff got a Toro Rake & Vac from Mom and Dad.

We all had so much fun at Red Butte today. It was nice and warm with a slight breeze. The kids ran around and even played in the fountains some. It was fun to inform Mom what a hummingbird moth comes from... I don't think she quite believed me. We enjoyed a little walk, and then called it quits since we're all still exhausted from laying sod, then having Bear's party after that. (But not before we bought Mom some neat cards that you actually plant and they grow) I got nice homemade cards from my babies as well as a beautiful faerie windchime to match my other one. Jeff also bought me some Utah wildflower seeds from Red Butte. I can hardly wait to plant them but it says the best time to plant them is late fall. I guess I'll just have to wait. There's aprox. 900 seeds! It was a wonderful day. We came home, and the kids played outside with their bouncy balls and the giant hamster wheel. We had every intention of setting up our swing Mom and Dad gave us for Christmas, but upon inspection of the pieces, we were sad to realize one of the legs is broken. :o( Now I'm off to bed (again). This darn wind is keeping me awake. I hope everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day!

A beautiful day for a party!

Bear celebrated his fifth birthday today! His birthday isn't until Wednesday, but we just couldn't resist an early party. The weather was beautiful, there were tons of kids running around, and everyone seemed to have a good time. I took many pictures, and once I get them downloaded and sorted, I will post several. Bear was so excited to see how very spoiled he was. He seems to be thrilled with every toy. For his and Jeff's birthday, we'll be going out to breakfast and then it's off to the theater to see the long awaited Iron Man movie. Now I think we've all had too much sun and fun today, so it's off to bed!
